Men: Tread carefully when answering these questions from your women!

They ask the most annoying questions, which can drive any sober man bananas. Well, the trick is to ‘get it right’ Women lie, men lie but numbers don’t’, musician Jay Z once said. He couldn’t have put it any better. We are all guilty of lying to our spouses. Sometimes (especially for women) it is to strike his ego and make him feel like the king of the jungle, while choosing the right battle to fight and ensure a happily ever after.  As people Down South say ‘maneno matamu humtoa nyoka pangoni’.

Recently, I invited some of my friends for dinner-cum- cocktail. I enjoy these gatherings. After a few drinks, one of my friends posed the question, “between women and men, who are better liars?” As expected the women took the crown. One of my girlfriends claimed that women are better liars because they know how to stretch a lie and make it sound like the truth.  Further, she claimed women some things say just for the sake of it. Get the drill? To make it easier, men, here is a list of some of the ‘fake’ queries we ask.

What do you think about (insert anything here)? Focus. Focus. Focus. This is what this question means. Women ask this question to weigh things and confirm how you feel or view something. It feels good to get his opinion. We are wired like that. I mean there is a reason why you are our companion, right?  Where is this going? Whenever she pops this, be very afraid. She loves your sex but is not sure for how long you will be there.

Women ask this question because they genuinely want to know where the relationship is going.  I don’t like to assume. Clarity is something everyone should look for in any relationship. How do I look? A calculated question that men should consult (with their inner self) before answering. The direct translation to this is “please tell me I look hot in this”.

The same way men like their ego stroked, so do women.   When she asks, “how do I look in this?” it simply means she wants validation. You want peace? Tell her what she wants to hear. I’ll only do that for my husband Everyone is a freak and we just need the right person to trigger our freakiness. Gentlemen, if any woman tells you, “I’ll only do that for my husband” well, you just are not doing something right!

There are certain women who are principled who will wait to experience certain freaky things with their husbands. To sum it up, fellas, just remember every woman is different. Avoid generalising things; it makes our blood boil! When you start seeing a woman, pay attention to details.
